Why ABOUT3OCLOCK Exists

37 years of IT. 8 years of active duty naval service. A career that started as a Navy Radioman (RM) — maintaining shipboard and shore communications systems — before that rating converted to Information Systems Technician (IT) in 1999. From there: every major evolution in technology, from early networking to cloud infrastructure to today's AI-driven threat landscape.

After military service, 25+ years in federal IT — designing, developing, leading, and securing systems at NAVWAR and the CNO staff. Environments where failure is not an option and every decision has real consequences.

ABOUT3OCLOCK was originally founded in 2016 in San Diego — a one-stop shop for website management, design, security, and marketing for small businesses. Then COVID hit. Like so many of the small businesses we served, we took the blow and had to pause. That experience didn't weaken the mission — it sharpened it.

Now restarted in El Paso with nearly a decade more experience, a tighter focus on cybersecurity and IT compliance, and a firsthand understanding of what it means to rebuild — ABOUT3OCLOCK exists for every business owner who's had to fight their way back. U.S. NAVY — 8 YEARS ACTIVE DUTY · 1994–2002

Navy Radioman (RM) → Information Systems Technician (IT)

Began as a Navy Radioman — responsible for maintaining shipboard and shore communications systems, cryptographic equipment, satellite links, and naval messaging. In 1999 the RM rating was officially converted to Information Systems Technician (IT) as the Navy modernized its digital infrastructure. Served across ship and shore assignments, advancing to senior enlisted level.

SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 — THE PENTAGON

Pentagon Navy Command Center

Was assigned to the Navy Command Center at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. The attack claimed the lives of shipmates. In the aftermath, returned as a civilian Senior Technical Advisor and Senior Database Manager to lead the data recovery effort for the Command Center — ultimately recovering approximately 98% of the data that had been lost. That experience shapes how we approach data protection and disaster recovery for every client we serve today.

25+ Years Government IT

Transitioned to a federal civilian IT career spanning over 25 years — designing, developing, leading, and securing systems for the United States government at NAVWAR and the CNO staff. Hands-on work in Zero Trust Architecture, cybersecurity, database management, and large-scale system development. The kind of environments where failure has real consequences and documentation is non-negotiable.
